1. The Rambling Group Coordinator is now Andy Walmsley and communication on Group matters should be sent to him. Andy and the Group are tremendously grateful to John Latham for his dedication in organising the Group. Thank you John and Jo.
2. New members are welcome as are walk leaders. We now use WhatsApp  (Rambling Wednesday) to communicate all walk information. You can register your interest by getting in touch with John Latham and requesting your name is added (John will invite you to join and you will need to respond).
3. All our walks are currently on Wednesdays and begin at 1030 unless otherwise stated. Where possible a pub lunch is arranged but leaders are not always able to do this. Details with lunch choices may be required.
4. A short walk around the Memorial Park is available every Tuesday for those who are not able to manage the longer walks for one reason or another. Please note this is more of a social gathering for a chat and coffee. The group meets at 1030 in the Beechwood Avenue car park. Sue Walmsley administers the 'Walk in the Park' WhatsApp group.

Walks Programme up until Christmas

Due to our shrinking group and consequent lack of walk leaders we now focus on fortnightly Wednesdays with optional Memorial Park strolls on the alternate Tuesdays. The group communicates via whatsapp. Please contact the coordinator by email to be added to the group. A schedule of walks will be added to this page as soon as available.

The Wednesday walk went from the Old Cathedral ruins to the Martyrs Memorial and on to the London Road cemetery and Charterhouse. The rest stop was in the Farmer’s Fayre at Charterhouse. Thanks to walk leaders and participants who braved the heat!

Stratford Walk June 10th 2026 (4.5 miles)
